Inspirational Verses

While I was still recovering in the hospital having lost our little girl, my parents brought me a ‘Hope Book’.  It was a booklet my dad had put together filled with hope-filled verses and quotes.  This became my lifeline in finding hope in God and keeping my eyes on Him!

I’d love to share some of these verses that became my inspiration and focus in the intense storm I was then in (please note, some of these are simply snippits of the larger verse, or even declarations based on the mentioned verse).  Enjoy!

  • When my heart is faint, lead me to the Rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:2
  • God walks with you. Leviticus 26:12
  • My help comes from the Lord. Psalm 121:2

  • You’re my place of quiet retreat.  I wait for your word to renew me. Psalm 119:114
  • Don’t worry because I am with you.  Don’t be afraid because I am your God.  I will make you strong and will help you. Isaiah 41:10
  • He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. Psalm 40:2
  • Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may find mercy and grace in time of need. Hebrews 4:16
  • The Lord will fight for you; Just stay calm. Exodus 14:14
  • Then you shall call and the Lord will answer, you shall cry and he will say, “Here I am” Isaiah 58:9

  • Keep your head up.  God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers. (from BibleGodQuotes.com)
  • When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you.  When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. Isaiah 43:2
  • Nothing can stop God’s plan for your life. Isaiah 14:27
  • My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9
  • He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge. Psalm 91:4

  • I sought the Lord, and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4
  • Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12
  • See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19

I encourage you to flip through your own Bible and find verses that speak personally to you.  My grieving experience will be different than the next person’s, so we will likely have different scripture’s speak to us in different ways.
